Hamilton Zoo

On Wednesday, we went to the Hamilton Zoo. It was a great looking day when the sun came out. There were lots of parents there when I got to school. I went with Regan, Hunter and Cody. We had to wait for Regan's dad because he was talking to Luke's dad.
When we got there, Regan, Hunter, Cody and I saw the brown capuchin monkeys. They climbed up and down and across the rope.
There were five capuchin monkeys. I saw one up on the roof. It was funny.
meerkat.jpgNext we was the meerkats. There were four. They were playing around until they went home. Once, two meerkats were fighting.
SetWidth174-chimpanzee.jpgWe went in the chimpanzee house. There were 5 or 6 of them. One of the chimpanzees banged on the window. There were heaps of people.

Next, we went and saw the White Rhino. When we were there, we saw them sleeping. They were probably tired because they were looking after their child. It was amazing because they had a small horn on their heads.
hochstetters frog.jpgSetWidth174-tuatara.jpgWe went to the birds next and the frog. When we were there, we saw the Hochstetter's Frog enclosure but we did not see the frog but we saw a lizard. It was very cool.

My Kite

Narrative Story

It was a sunny afternoon. There was a boy called Zac and his parents, and they went to the zoo called Sunny Side Zoo.
“No, I do not want to go to the zoo,” said Zac.
“We are going to the zoo,” said Dad.
When Zach and his parents got there, they saw heaps of cars. Zach thought there was something amazing in there.
When they got in, they saw the cheeky monkeys eating lots of bananas for lunch.
They saw a tall giraffe that had a long neck and yellow fur and long legs. They went to see a lion.
Zac asked a zookeeper, “Can I have a piece of meat so I can feed the lion?”
He got a piece of meat and it was huge. He could not throw it because it was too heavy and slimy. Zach threw the piece of meat. He spun around so fast that he knocked into the fence and fell down where the lion lived.
He was scared because there was a lion. He said to him, “Just stay still and do not move.”
When he was waiting for someone to help him, he was hot and sweaty. He needed water and food.
After a while, he saw a hungry lion approach him. It was taking little steps toward him. He was scared about the lion because it might gobble him up.
He ran as fast as he could. He saw a stone wall. He thought that he could climb that wall. He believed that he could do it. He lifted his arms up. He made it up the wall.
